ABOUT THE SHOW
"Snow White and the Lost Kingdom" by Shelby Hovley, featuring music by Kyle Lawrence, is a spellbinding new musical that Backstage Performing Arts is thrilled to present to audiences. This enchanting production puts a unique twist on the classic fairytale written by the brother's Grimm, weaving together elements of the familiar with the fresh, creating a magical experience for all ages.
The story revolves around timeless characters like Snow White, the fairest of them all, and her Evil Queen Mother. However, this production introduces a delightful cast of new characters, the Gnomes of the forest, people of the marketplace and an array of forest critter friends. As the tale unfolds, these new characters bring a burst of whimsy and charm to the narrative, adding depth and humor to the story we all know and love.
This new musical explores the power of friendship, bravery, and the magic of the unexpected. The audience will be transported to a world where the line between good and evil blurs, as characters grapple with their destinies, and the story takes unexpected turns. Rehearsals will be held Mondays/Wednesdays 4:30-5:30pm, Classes will be held before 4:00-4:30pm

3. We will send a group audition time sign-ups 1 week before auditions
4. Attend your first day of this course beginning Jan 8th, 2024

PRINCESS SNOW
Snow White, our beloved heroine, radiates kindness and resilience in the face of her wicked Mother's treacherous plans, reminding us that goodness prevails in the most enchanting of ways.
RENA
Rena, Snow White's beloved and clever friend, is a sly and spirited fox who offers unwavering loyalty and a dash of forest magic to their adventures.
QUEEN MORGANA
The Evil Queen, a villain of striking beauty but malevolence at her core, stops at nothing to maintain her reign, including causing harm to Snow and her forest friends. Her heart is filled with that of darkness and vanity.
ECLIPSE & PRISM
Eclipse and Prism, the enchanted mirror, hold the secrets of the past and the potential for redemption, their twin reflections offering a glimpse into the intricate balance between darkness and light.
EMBER
Ember, the gnome with a fluffy spirit and a culinary genius, fills the forest with delicious aromas and heartwarming meals that warm the soul.
RUSTY
Rusty, the gnome brimming with boundless energy, channels her enthusiasm into crafting ingenious gadgets and inventions, filling the forest with whimsical wonder.
VELVET
A gentle gnome with a heart of gold, cares for and nurtures the animals of the forest, forming an unbreakable bond with her furry and feathered friends.
WILLOW
Willow, the knome with the ultimate green thumb, nurtures both the lush gardens and her forest home with an innate love for gardening and foraging for nature's bounties.
LUNA
A gnome with a deep connection to the moon and the stars, often seen stargazing
WHISPER
A gnome, soft-spoken and observant, is never heard when speaking until it matters most
BUMBLE
A gnome, a bit clumsy but is incredibly good-natured and always tries to help, even if things don't go as planned
FLORA
The marketplace's gentle florist, not only crafts exquisite bouquets but also embodies the essence of generosity and kindness, brightening the lives of those she meets.
BAXTER
The town's jolly baker, bakes delectable treats with an extra dash of happiness, spreading joy and sweetness to everyone who visits his bakery.
TAYLOR
Taylor, the town's dedicated seamstress, embarks on journeys far and wide to acquire the most exquisite fabrics and ornate designs, ensuring her customers always shine in unique and splendid attire.
CRITTERS OF THE FOREST
The critters of the forest, with their boundless happiness and unfailing willingness to lend a hand, infuse the woodland with an infectious spirit of camaraderie and unity.
