You are expected and trusted to have your song or songs prepared and ready for an audience by February 15th. If you are participating in a dance number, additional rehearsals may be required. COSTUMES
You will likely be expected to provide some of your own wardrobe for the performance. Dress expectations will be semi-formal and family appropriate. Be prepared to coordinate with the studio to discuss your chosen outfit ahead of the performance.
SAFETY MEASURES (COVID-19)
Masks will be required at all times when inside the studio with the only exception being when you are performing on stage. All actors will be temperature checked upon arrival. Not everyone who auditions will be cast to guarantee a small cast for social distancing.
Audience members will be seated at cabaret tables each six feet apart. (Similar to a restaurant set up). Guests will be invited to wear masks at all time, except when actively consuming food. No Intermission. Concessions will be purchased at the time of ticket sale and already be placed at tables. Our theater will not exceed 50 people including cast, audience and production team.
After the show, cast members will greet outside with masks on as people exit.
We are doing this show for multiple reasons; to create an opportunity for actors to perform safely, to fundraise money for Backstage Performing Arts and to spread joy to families around Davis County through entertainment.
We hope you’ll join us in this unique theater experience.
Thanks,
Backstage Performing Arts
