This thrilling and heartwarming coming-of-age story follows the strong-willed Moana as she sets sail across the Pacific to save her village and discover the truth about her heritage. Moana and the legendary demigod Maui embark on an epic journey of self-discovery and camaraderie as both learn to harness the power that lies within. With empowering messages of bravery and selflessness, Moana JR. is sure to bring out the hero within each of us.
AUDITIONS FOR ROLES
Auditions are open to all performers between the ages 6-13. We are strongly encouraging those of Polynesian descent to audition!
Bring ALL conflicts (any date you cannot attend rehearsal) from June 3rd - July 21st, any conflicts not included at the time of audition will not be honored. Not everyone will be called to every rehearsal.
Bring a headshot and resume to auditions
Come prepared to sing 1 minute in the style of the show or stylistically appropriate to a character from the show. An accompanist will NOT be provided, please bring a karaoke track, no track with vocals. Please don't sing songs from Moana.
Auditions will take place at the studio located at 803 North 1250 West #4, Centerville, Utah, 84014
If you cannot attend auditions, contact us before auditions and we will schedule another time for you.
For those who have never auditioned for a show before or might have butterflies in their stomach: we are offering a group audition option! This will be held June 3rd, 10:30-10:45am or 10:45-11:00am. Actors should learn "We Know the Way" 0:56-1:15 before coming. For the section we will be learning please scroll to the bottom of the page for more info.
AERIAL SILKS AUDITIONS
Performers interested in auditioning for Featured Aerialists need to register for an Aerial Silk Audition time slot
Be prepared to climb, tie-off in the air, panther or crossback
You must have taken at least 1 semester of aerial silks to audition for these roles
Aerialists must also attend auditions for vocal & dance
Held Saturday, June 4th, 9:00-10:00am. Dress to move, actors will learn a short combo to show the production team. Everyone who is auditioning for the show should attend dance call.

Performers will be required to provide underclothing and shoes for performances. Consisting of a tan leotard & black shorts for girls and a black tank top & black or tan pants for boys. Tan Jazz shoes preferred.

The vibrant, tenacious, and optimistic daughter of Motunui’s chief. She struggles to reconcile her father’s plans for her to take over as the village chief with her own desires to voyage beyond the reef. Ultimately, Moana proves a compassionate and capable leader.
A demigod and master wayfinder with charisma to spare and a reputation of being a trickster. Despite his hard exterior, Maui becomes a wonderful friend and mentor to Moana throughout their journey.
CHIEF ANCESTORS 1, 2 & 3
Chief Ancestors (1-3) are the three ancient leaders of Motunui. They guide Moana on her quest and narrate her story through speaking and singing solos.
Moana’s wise grandmother and the mother of Chief Tui. She is the village storyteller known for being eccentric and dancing to the beat of her own drum.
The proud leader of Motunui and Moana’s father. He prioritizes the safety of his people and his family.
Moana’s fiercely loyal friend. Pua always supports Moana – even if it means facing her own fears.
Moana’s not-so-bright friend. Hei Hei is well- meaning, but naive.
The vicious and egotistical giant crab who lives in Lalotai, the Realm of Monsters. Tamatoa enjoys gathering shiny baubles to add to an ever-growing collection.
