Journey "under the sea" with Ariel and her aquatic friends in Disney's The Little Mermaid JR., adapted from Disney's Broadway production and the motion picture (featuring the enormously popular Academy Award-winning music and delightfully charming book and lyrics). Based on one of Hans Christian Andersen's most beloved stories, Disney's The Little Mermaid JR. is an enchanting look at the sacrifices we all make for love and acceptance.

AUDITIONS FOR ROLES
Auditions are open to all performers between the ages 8-18, special performers
​
Bring ALL conflicts (any date you cannot attend rehearsal) from June 1st-July 18th, any conflicts not included at the time of audition will not be honored. Not everyone will be called to every rehearsal.
​
If you cannot attend auditions, contact us before auditions and we will schedule another time for you.
Bring a headshot and resume to auditions
​
Come prepared to sing 1 minute in the style of the show or stylistically appropriate to a character from the show. An accompanist will NOT be provided, please bring a karaoke track, no track with vocals.
​
Auditions will take place at the studio located at 803 North 1250 West #4, Centerville, Utah, 84014
​
CALLBACKS
Additional Callbacks will be held after by invitation only at 2:00pm

Performers will be required to provide underclothing and shoes for performances. Consisting of a tan leotard & black shorts for girls and a black tank top & black or tan pants for boys.

Everyone who registers will be cast in the production with the exception of Aerialists and Sea-gals/Frogs (see below)
No refunds will be given after the cast list has been posted.

Auditions for sea-gals & frogs will be held at 2:00-2:30pm on May 30th

CHARACTER BREAKDOWN
​
ARIEL
Ariel, the heroine of our story, is a little mermaid who longs to be human. Ariel holds beautiful solos, she must be able to convey meaning through gesture once she loses her voice.
​
PRINCE ERIC
Prince Eric is the adventurous prince who captures Ariel's heart. A charming performer with a sensitive nature.
​
SEBASTIAN
Sebastian is the meticulous and anxious crab who tries to keep Ariel safe while getting to lead some of the most memorable songs in the show! Sebastian can be played by a boy or girl.
​
FLOUNDER
Flounder is Ariel's sincere and sensitive best friend who is loyal to the end. This spunky fish also has a show-stopping solo in "She's in Love." Flounder can be cast with a girl or a boy with an unchanged voice.
​
KING TRITON
King Triton rules the sea and is a force to be reckoned with. This non-singer role needs to command the stage as a strong leader but also show the tenderness of a parent.
​
MERSISTERS
The Mersisters (Aquata, Andrina, Arista, Atina, Adella, Allana) are Ariel's siblings and full of personality and sass. The sisters sing the "Daughters of Triton" and "She's in Love"
​
URSULA
Ursula is the manipulative sea witch who tries to overthrow King Triton. She is cunning and devious and will stop at nothing to get what she wants. Looking for strong villain humor while finding texture in Ursula's complexity.
​
FLOTSAM & JETSAM
Flotsam and Jetsam are Ursula's slippery spies. These electric eels are sinister and sneaky. Flotsam and Jetsam can be played by boys or girls.
​
SCUTTLE
Scuttle is the know-it-all seagull who serves as Ariel's expert on humans. He is funny and off-beat. In search of a good singer who will rock "Human Stuff." Looking for good comedic timing and someone who is willing to have fun with Scuttle's eccentricities.
​
SEA-GALS
Little seagulls who hang out with scuttle, they sing and dance during the song "Human Stuff"
​
GRIMSBY
Grimsby is Prince Eric's prim and proper valet. He is rigid in personality and constantly trying to guide Prince Eric towards the throne.
​
CHEF LOUIS
Chef Louis is the over-the-top head chef in the palace. He is always wild and frenetic. Looking for a strong comedic performer.
​
CHEFS/MAIDS
The Chefs & Maids are Chef Louis's assistants. They perform in "Les Poissons"
​
CARLOTTA
Carlotta is the headmistress in Prince Eric's palace and Ariel's greatest human ally. Looking for an actor to be warm and maternal to make Ariel feel welcome.
​
PRINCESSES
The six Princesses try everything they can to win the heart of Prince Eric. Since none of them possesses the voice Prince Eric is searching for, looking for actresses who can create an exaggerated and comedic personality through song.
​
PILOT
The Pilot is the head sailor on Prince Eric's ship. This nautical expert who entertains the sailors with wild tales of the sea.
​
SAILORS
The Sailors are the crew of Prince Eric's ship. They are eager for adventure and ready to tackle a storm.
SEAHORSE
The Seahorse is the court herald for King Triton.
​
SEA CREATURES
The Sea Creatures are the ensemble under water animals in King Triton's court.
