All Backstage classes are taught by professionals in the business. We can't wait to see you gain new friendships, progress your talents, and perform your best!

"Musical Theatre (5th-7th)" is designed for performers who are looking to excel in their musical theatre experiences by training, developing, and strengthening their talents. Performers will not only get to take musical theatre and acting classes, but they will also participate in the main stage productions HONK JR.
Auditions for HONK JR. are December 1st.
All those who register will be cast in the production.
Students will not be called to every rehearsal.
Dress Rehearsals and Performances will be held at our Centerville Location.

"Shows & Acting (5th-7th)" is designed for performers who are looking to participate in a show and get acting training. Performers will not only join their cast for rehearsals but they will also get imersed in theatre essentials for the actor. Actors will participate in HONK JR.

private voice lessons
$73/month + $40 Registration Fee

Private Voice Lessons are designed for the individual looking to improve their vocal range, confidence, repertoire, technique, and experience level. Each performer works with one of our trained professionals to achieve goals and excel quickly. Our private voice instructors are dedicated to giving you a solid foundation to build consistency and confidence in your singing voice. Students will perform at the end of each semester in a voice recital. Private voice runs all 9 months of the school year. Lessons are held once a week for 30 minutes. After registration, lesson day/time will be scheduled around the teacher and student's schedule in August.

intro to PERFORMING (7-12YRS)

Our "Intro to Musical Theatre" class is for students interested in musical theatre. Students will be introduced to popular musical songs. They will get to learn the basics of being on stage as a performer. During class time, students will learn songs from a music teacher and a musical theatre instructor. The dress code is found below, jazz shoes are needed for this class.
Students will participate in a recital in December and May.

INTRO TO SEWING
$53/month + $40 Yearly Registration Fee
Monday 4:00-5:00pm
Ages 8-12

In this course, students will be introduced to machine sewing. Students will be able to pick their project based on the skillset we’re working on. Possible projects include pajama pants, pillowcases, and skirts.
There will be no materials fee for this class, students will be required to purchase their own choice of fun fabric for each project.
Students will need a sewing kit that includes all the needed tools for their level. Students will be expected to bring in their own kits, based on our list.

COSTUME DESIGN
$57/month + $40 Yearly Registration Fee

Ages 10-18

From concept to the stage learn how a costume comes to be. In this class we will study how the line, color, and texture of costumes enhances the storytelling ability of characters on stage. Students will complete sewing projects to experience the process of creation.
There will be no materials fee for this class, students will be required to purchase their own choice of fun fabric for each project.
Students will need a sewing kit that includes all the needed tools for their level. Students will be expected to bring in their own kits, based on our list.

AERIAL SILKS
$87/month + $63 Costume Rental Fee (per semester) + $40 Yearly Registration Fee

Centerville Location
Students will get to fly high and build their strength and flexibility through this circus-acrobatic class. Choose a class that fits your student's level.
Level I- is a beginner who has taken no classes-or a summer camp/one semester
Level II- Climbs right and left, has double and single foot-locks in the air, taken at least 1 year
Level III- Has taken for 2+ years and can climb to the top of the silk and is comfortable with inversions
Class time includes basic dance warm-ups, conditioning, flexibility on and off the silks, instruction of skills, poses, sequences, and recital preparation. Everyone performs in an end-of-semester recital.

Students are required to wear a leotard and long leggings or tights. No socks or shoes. Hair pulled back, no jewelry, watches, zippers, or anything that potentially could snag the fabrics. No jeans. Colors are black, grey & blue. For the safety of students and equipment, students not wearing the dress code will not be allowed to participate in class and will be asked to sit out that day.

PIANO LESSONS
$49/month + $40 Yearly Registration Fee + Purchase Required Books
AGES 7-18
West Bountiful Location
Be introduced to the piano in this private instruction course. These lessons are perfect for someone who has never touched a piano before, or for the experienced student wanting to push through to the next level. Students will learn keys, music theory, improvisation, and technique.
Lessons will be held for 30 minutes. Make-ups are offered for lessons missed through the semester, but must be completed before each semester is over. In addition to tuition fee, students will be required to purchase piano curriculum, for their level. There will be a small performance at the end of each semester. WHAT TO WEAR
Students are expected to wear dance clothes to movement classes and rehearsals.
Girls should wear a leotard (black), black or grey shirt no logos, ballet skirt (black or pink) or dance shorts(black), or black leggings.
Boys should wear a black shirt and black shorts or pants.
Hair should be pulled back away from the face, no jewelry.
