STAGE TIME
Welcome to Stage Time, an exciting and interactive summer musical theatre camp designed especially for our youngest performers, aged 3 to 5! At Stage Time, we believe that even the tiniest stars can shine bright on the stage. Through a combination of art, dance, music, and storytelling, we'll embark on a magical journey that introduces your child to the wonderful world of musical theatre this year's theme: Fairies and Pirates! During our action-packed camp, your child will have the opportunity to explore their imagination, build self-confidence, and develop a love for the performing arts in a nurturing and inclusive environment. Our experienced instructors are passionate about working with young children and are committed to fostering a positive, supportive, and fun-filled atmosphere.
MINI MUSICAL
Presenting "Tweeting Tales from the Treetops" Embark into the jungle for the Jungle Birds’ Storytelling Festival. This show is specially crafted for 1st-3rd graders! With catchy tunes, colorful costumes, and a finale that roars with excitement, our Mini Musical promises a toe-tapping, laughter-filled journey for our budding stars! BROADWAY DANCE & TUMBLE CAMP
This camp offers an exhilarating experience for young dancers and tumblers to hone their skills in a supportive and dynamic environment. Led by experienced instructors, campers will explore various dance styles such as jazz, tap, hip-hop, and tumbling. Through engaging classes and fun-filled activities, participants will build confidence, coordination, and teamwork skills, creating unforgettable memories!
SEWING & COSTUME DESIGN
Dive into the world of textiles and imagination with our Sewing and Costume Design Summer Camp! This hands-on experience introduces students to the basics of sewing, fabric fundamentals, and the delightful art of what it takes to be a costume designer. Under the guidance of experienced instructors, participants will embark on a creative journey, exploring the foundations of sewing and design. Join us for a week filled with the joy of discovery, as beginners weave their first stitches and unveil the magic of costume design!
HOMESCHOOL CAMP
Elevate your homeschool experience this summer at Backstage! Students will get to learn more than they could imagine in one week and meet other friends that homeschool too! The first subject will be Art, focused on drawing figures and objects, and our new DIY subject where students will be inspired to learn new skills like knitting, making bracelets, and other independent skills. The next subject will be Storytelling. Younger students will dive into character-driven stories and learn how to create a picture book. Older students will learn the skill of playwriting as they create an original story with characters. Both ages will get on their feet and dive into acting and improv as well. Our last subject will be Voice and Creative Movement. Students will learn how to sing by themselves and with a group, focusing on vocal techniques and learning how to read sheet music. After that, students will jump into the art of creating movement on stage. Come make friends and join us for an inspiring week where homeschoolers explore the magic of theater in a supportive and imaginative setting!
4TH OF JULY
Get ready to celebrate the 4th of July like never before at our exciting Parade and Performance Experience! This unique summer opportunity offers young participants a thrilling chance to be part of the festivities, showcasing their talent and patriotism in parades and performing on a grand stage for the City of Centerville. Any student who signs up for this experience will come on specific times and days to learn two numbers plus a Peter Pan Jr. number if they are in that show. The rehearsal time is minimal and will be emailed out as we get closer. This is a very affordable performance opportunity that we want to invite all Backstage students to participate in! Students will also have the option to participate in the Centerville Parade and West Bountiful Parade if they are 10 and older. Registration will open at a later time.
AERIAL SILKS
Welcome to the exhilarating world of Aerial Silks! Our Aerial Silks Camp offers a one-of-a-kind summer experience for participants, combining the excitement of circus arts with the artistry of dance, gymnastics, and the thrill of defying gravity. Get ready to soar, twist, and spin on our stunning aerial silks apparatus! Participants will have the opportunity to learn and master captivating moves and poses on the silks while developing core strength, body awareness, and self-confidence.

An enchanting journey into the magical world of Neverland. Aspiring actors will have the opportunity to bring beloved characters to life, from the mischievous Peter Pan to the villainous Captain Hook. Under the guidance of experienced directors and choreographers, performers will sharpen their theatrical skills while forming lasting friendships with fellow cast members. With thrilling adventures, captivating music, and timeless storytelling, "Peter Pan Jr" at Backstage offers a transformative experience that will ignite imaginations and leave audiences of all ages spellbound.
