Red Moon is our annual Halloween-themed show presented by Backstage Performing Company students.
In the town of Dark Hollow, witches, werewolves, and normals live in an uneasy truce, at least on the surface. But when 16-year-old Luna Hawthorne discovers she possesses both witch and werewolf powers, she becomes the center of a deadly prophecy. Luna must choose: embrace the darkness of her ancestor or break the cycle before it’s too late. But will the peace last, or is this just the calm before the next storm?

Follow a young girl’s journey as she’s swept away to a fantastical land filled with whimsical friends, daring adventures, and lessons about courage, heart, and home. With colorful characters, unforgettable music, and plenty of charm, this beloved story is brought to life by our amazing young performers. Join us for an enchanting performance the whole family will enjoy!

BACKSTAGE'S FALL
VOICE RECITAL

NOV 8th at 7:00pm

Join us as our voice students take the stage to share the music they’ve been working on this season. From classic favorites to contemporary selections, each performance highlights the growth, dedication, and unique artistry of our singers. This recital is a celebration of their hard work and love for music, sure to be an inspiring and enjoyable evening for all. This event is free and seating is general admission.

JUNIOR

DEC 5th - 13th

A musical comedy for young performers about brothers Nick and Nigel Bottom in 1595 London, struggling to write a hit play in the shadow of William Shakespeare. Desperate for a success, they consult a soothsayer who predicts the future of theatre involves singing, dancing, and acting simultaneously. The brothers set out to write the world's first musical, leading to a hilarious story filled with mistaken identities, love triangles, and musical numbers

JAN 9th - 17th

Our talented 10th–12th graders are proud to present Bright Star: School Edition, a sweeping tale of love, loss, and redemption set in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. Inspired by true events, this heartwarming musical follows Alice Murphy as she reflects on her past and uncovers a story that has the power to change her future. With a lively bluegrass-inspired score by Steve Martin and Edie Brickell, the show is filled with soaring melodies, toe-tapping rhythms, and heartfelt storytelling.

Our Backstage Performing Companies, ages 1st–12th grade, are thrilled to present this year’s Broadway-themed Spring Showcase! Filled with show-stopping numbers, high energy, and plenty of heart, the performance celebrates our students’ dreams of one day seeing their name in lights. From beloved Broadway classics to contemporary favorites, each group will shine as they share their talent and passion for the stage. Our 4th–6th graders are proud to present Alice in Wonderland JR., a whimsical journey into Lewis Carroll’s beloved story. Follow Alice as she tumbles down the rabbit hole and encounters the curious characters of Wonderland, from the White Rabbit to the Mad Hatter and the Queen of Hearts. With lively songs, colorful characters, and plenty of laughs, this production brings the magic of Wonderland to life on stage. Join us for an unforgettable adventure full of imagination and fun!

THE GREEK ROCK MUSICAL

APRIL 10th-11th, 2025

Featuring our Elementary Homeschool program, OLYMPUS is a laugh-out-loud rock musical where ancient myths meet modern mischief! The Greek gods, tired of their immortal routines, spark a competition to meddle with mortals and prove who’s the greatest greek god of all time. When a group of modern-day cousins set off on a hike to “Olympus Overlook,” they have no idea they’re about to be tested by ancient deities. With catchy songs, heartfelt moments, and plenty of laughs, Olympus is a mythic adventure about family, connection, and discovering that the real view from the top is the one you share together.

Join our talented 7th–12th graders as they bring the thrilling adventure of The Lightning Thief to life on stage! Based on the best-selling novel, this electrifying musical follows Percy Jackson, a teenager who discovers he’s the son of Poseidon and is thrust into a world of Greek gods, monsters, and epic quests. With humor, heart, and high-energy rock music, Percy and his friends must journey across the country to prevent a war among the gods. Packed with action and imagination, this production is sure to excite audiences of all ages!

...IF THE SHOE FITS!

MAY 14th-16th

Our 1st–3rd grade Musical Theatre students are excited to present Cinderella: If the Shoe Fits! This fresh take on the classic fairy tale is filled with laughter, charm, and a few surprising twists along the way. Audiences will delight in the magical story of Cinderella, her fairy tale friends, and of course, the famous glass slipper. With plenty of heart and sparkle, this show is the perfect showcase of our youngest performers’ talent and joy on stage!

Doors open 10-15 minutes before showtime

Latecomers may be assigned alternate seating

All performances feature flashing lights and loud music

Concessions will be served at some events and may be consumed inside the theatre. 

Please do not bring any outside food or drink, as it is not allowed.

It is recommended individuals with special requests contact the Box Office to allow us adequate time to address your needs
