Performers will receive intense training in singing, dancing and acting.  All Backstage classes are taught by professionals in the business.  We can't wait to see you gain new friendships, progress your talents, and perform your best!

MUSICAL THEATRE

MONDAY & WEDNESDAY 5:30-9:15 PM

West Bountiful Location

"Teen Musical Theatre" is designed for the performer who is looking to excel in their performing experience by training, developing, and strengthening their talents.  Performers will not only get to take class they will also perform in two productions throughout the school year.  Classes align with the musicals they will be participating in, and students can expect to get coaching on specific skills that they will be using in the shows.

​

Auditions for musicals will be held in August for BEAUTY & THE BEAST and in January for LEGALLY BLONDE JR.  Not all those who register will be cast in the production.  Students will not be called to every rehearsal.  Dress Rehearsals and Performances will be held at our Centerville Location. When we move to Centerville for final rehearsals, classes will also take place at Centerville Location.  No Classes will be held the month of December.

For students to get the most out of their classes we have provided a dress code.  It is found at the bottom of this page.  Please bring Jazz or Tennis Shoes to class.  There is a partial program option found on registration.

DANCE CLASSES

JAZZ I (Friday 4-5pm)

JAZZ II (Friday 5-6pm)

This energetic dance class combines elements of ballet, rhythms, and syncopated movements, creating a dynamic and expressive style.  Jazz shoes are REQUIRED for this class.  

TAP I (Friday 5-6pm)

TAP II (Friday 4-5pm)

In this class, students learn to create rhythmic patterns and sounds using metal plates attached to the soles of their shoes, exploring a lively and percussive dance form. Tap shoes are REQUIRED for this class.  

CONTEMPORARY (Friday 3-4pm)

Blending elements of ballet, modern dance, and improvisation, this class encourages dancers to explore their own movement style and express emotions through fluid and organic movements.

HIP-HOP (Thursday 7-8pm)

This high-energy and urban-inspired dance class teaches students the latest hip-hop moves, emphasizing rhythm, coordination, and self-expression while immersing them in the vibrant culture of hip-hop music and dance. Sneakers are REQUIRED for this class.

tumbling & Pom (tuesday 6-7pm)

This tumbling class focuses on developing strength, flexibility, and acrobatic skills through various floor exercises and techniques, allowing students to master flips, rolls, and aerial maneuvers with control and precision.  In Pom, students will learn energetic and precise dance routines, focusing on pom-pom techniques, coordination, and performance skills, while fostering teamwork and a passion for dance.

private dance lessons (day/time scheduled with teacher)

These personalized one-on-one sessions cater to individual needs and goals, providing focused attention and customized instruction to accelerate skill development and refine technique in any dance style of choice.

All dance class students will perform at the end of each semester in a recital. Tickets will be sold for performances.

private voice lessons

​Private Voice Lessons are designed for the individual looking to improve their vocal range, confidence, repertoire, technique, and experience level.  Each performer works with one of our trained professionals to achieve goals and excel quickly.  Our private voice instructors are dedicated to giving you a solid foundation to build strong vocal techniques.  To see their professional experience click on the "About Us" page.  

 

Students will perform at the end of each semester in a voice recital. Private voice runs all 9 months of the school year. Lessons are held once a week for 30 minutes.

AERIAL SILKS

Embark on a captivating journey into the art of suspended acrobatics with our Aerial Silks class. Learn to dance, climb, and pose on silken fabrics hanging from the ceiling. Our program is suitable for all levels, whether you are just starting or have been taking for several years, this transformative class builds strength, flexibility, and coordination. With experienced instructors guiding you, you'll progress from fundamental techniques to breathtaking moves and sequences, fostering creativity and self-expression.  Join us to defy gravity, cultivate grace, and experience the exhilaration of Aerial Silks.

COSTUME DESIGN

TUESDAY 4:00-5:15pm

West Bountiful Location

​

From concept to the stage learn how a costume comes to be. In this class we will study how the line, color, and texture of costumes enhances the storytelling ability of characters on stage. Students will complete sewing projects to experience the process of creation.

 

There will be no materials fee for this class, students will be required to purchase their own choice of fun fabric for each project.

WHAT TO WEAR

​

Students are expected to wear dance clothes to movement classes and rehearsals. 

Girls should wear a leotard (black), black or grey shirt no logos, ballet skirt (black or pink) or dance shorts(black), or black leggings.

Boys should wear a black shirt and black shorts or pants.

Hair should be pulled back away from the face, no jewelry.

​
