ABOUT THE SHOW

The story follows a Baker and his wife, who wish to have a child; Cinderella, who wishes to attend the King's Festival; and Jack, who wishes his cow would give milk. When the Baker and his wife learn that they cannot have a child because of a Witch's curse, the two set off on a journey to break the curse. Everyone's wish is granted, but the consequences of their actions return to haunt them later

A NOTE ABOUT CASTING

Auditions are open to actors 18+. Every role is open. Every person is welcome. We're looking for dedicated actors of all abilities, races, ethnicities, shapes, sizes & backgrounds. We are committed to providing a professional supportive process. We are hoping to double-cast all roles. This is an audition-only production and not everyone who auditions will be offered a role.

IN-PERSON AUDITIONS

WHEN: June 20th slots starting at 1:00pm (sign-up below)
WHO: Actors 18+
WEAR: Professional clothing
WHERE: West Bountiful Location (724 W 500 S #900, West Bountiful, Utah, 84087)
BRING: 30-60 sec karaoke track on a device (we will provide a speaker with a USBC cord)

VIDEO AUDITIONS

DUE: June 20th by 11:59pm
WHO: Actors 18+
WEAR: Wear professional clothing
INCLUDE: Slate (Name & Song), 30-60 seconds of you singing with a karaoke track
SUBMIT: Through casting manager (Youtube Unlisted Link)

TO DO BEFORE AUDITIONS

Register for an audition through casting manager
Fill out the Audition Form, attach a headshot/resume, & conflicts
Be prepared to sing & bring a 30-60 second karaoke music cut
Bring a device: we have Bluetooth, USB-C cord, aux cord; no accompanist will be provided). Choose a song that best fits you, and choose material in the style of the show. Singing songs from the show is allowed.

CONFLICTS

Please be upfront with your conflicts, no conflicts will be accepted after final callbacks.

CALLBACKS - BY INVITATION ONLY

WHEN: June 22nd starting at 6:00pm (specific calltimes will be emailed out)
WEAR: Comfortable clothing you can move in
WHERE: West Bountiful Location (724 W 500 S #900, West Bountiful, Utah, 84087)
BRING: We will email out sides you can choose to print or have on your personal device

COMPENSATION

For this production, actors are on a volunteer-only basis.

Backstage Performing Arts does not offer housing or gas stipends.
